NBA highlights: Knicks over Porzingis, Mavs; Dame, D-Lo go big; Bogey, Jokic clutch

Call it the Knicks revenge game.

New York went into Dallas on Friday and left with a 106-102 victory over old friend/enemy Kristaps Porzingis and the Mavericks. This was Porzingis’ first game against the team that drafted him (and then traded him after the relationship soured).

Porzingis got his points — 28, in 35 minutes — but he also fouled out and almost had to endure Frank Ntilikina, another recent Knicks first-rounder, dunking all over him.

Ntilikina had one of the better all-around games of his career, in fact: 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals and three blocked shots. He also made 4 of 5 shots from 3-point range.

MOCK DRAFT: Knicks get backcourt help at No. 1

Part 2 of this drama will take place Thursday, Nov. 14, when the teams reconvene in New York.

Dannng, Dame: 60 for Blazers star in loss

Damian Lillard tried to beat the Nets by himself. Didn’t work, but he got a career-high scoring number out of it.

Lillard scored his 60 on 19-of-33 shooting from the field (seven 3s) and 15-for-15 shooting from the line.

Brooklyn still held on for the 119-115 victory.

D-Lo drops nickel-plus but Dubs still lose

D’Angelo Russell was back in the Warriors’ starting lineup Friday after missing three games with an ankle injury, and he immediately made like Steph Curry — well, statistically, anyway. Russell scored 52 points (on 37 shots) to go with nine boards and five dimes, but Golden State still lost 125-119 in overtime to the Timberwolves.

This is how D-Lo closed out the third quarter, when things looked promising for the reigning West champs:

Another sign that balanced scoring was not the theme for Golden State on Friday: Only three players scored in double figures: Russell, Alec Burks (18) and Eric Paschall (12).

The T-wolves, meanwhile, got 40 from Andrew Wiggins and 20 from Karl-Anthony Towns.

Beat the clock

Big shots in big spots: Bojan Bogdanovic’s game-winner for the Jazz over the Bucks . . .

. . . and Nikola Jokic’s decider for the Nuggets over the 76ers, who led by as many as 21 in the fourth quarter:
