College football scores: Live results, updates, highlights from Week 4’s top 25 games

It’s Week 4 in college football, and it has a lot more to offer than a weekend in which no top-25 teams played each other.

This week has three such games in No. 11 Michigan at No. 13 Wisconsin (noon, FOX) and a CBS doubleheader with No. 8 Auburn at No. 17 Texas A&M (3:30 p.m.) and No. 7 Notre Dame at No. 3 Georgia (8 p.m.).

Those games promise to be exciting, but other enticing matchups include Oklahoma State at No. 12 Texas and a meeting between No. 16 Oregon and Stanford. And considering USC upset No. 10 Utah on Friday, there’s no telling what could happen in those games or others.

Below are scores, highlights and other updates from across the college football landscape.

Live updates, highlights from today’s NCAA football games

2:53 p.m.: Burrow and LSU pouring it on. He’s 23 of 30 for 394 yards and six touchdowns, by the way.

2:42 p.m.: There’s no more room in the game for plays like this.

2:40 p.m.: Oh, no. That looks like it hurt. Chase Garbers obviously out for now.

2:38 p.m.: What a sequence of events in the LSU-Vandy game (Tigers lead 45-24):

2:29 p.m.: It’s 35-0 Wisconsin. Ouch.

2:24 p.m.: Florida’s in good hands with this Trask guy. It’s 24-3 Florida.

2:18 p.m.: Now 28-13 Cal. Are the Golden Bears … good?

2:06 p.m.: Alabama can score on the ground too! Brian Robinson with the 6-yard touchdown run to make it 42-7 Tide.

2:03 p.m.: Chase Garbers making it 21-13 Cal over Ole Miss.

2 p.m.: A 51-yard touchdown reception for Ja’Marr Chase makes it 38-17 LSU. Guess this is the Tigers’ offense now.

1:56 p.m.: Lamical Perine makes it 17-0 Florida with this 1-yard plunge.

1:49 p.m.: Tagovailoa scores his customary second-half touchdown, this time a 20-yard connection with Jeudy, to make it 35-7 Alabama. Assuming he’s done for the day, he’ll finish 16 of 20 for 290 yards and five touchdowns.

1:36 p.m.: You know it’s over when the freshman QB’s doing stuff like this. Wisconsin up 28-0 off the Jack Coan run.

1:30 p.m.: Um, Adrian Magee (left guard) has a little dog in him.

1:26 p.m.: A mauling. Michigan is out of its league in this one.

1:17 p.m.: Florida has two interceptions on Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano, who is struggling mightily in this one.

1:15 p.m.: Wisconsin’s up 21-0 thanks in part to the Badgers going 3 of 3 on fourth down. Here’s one of them.

1:04 p.m.: And No. 23 Cal regains the lead on this 13-yard connection between Chase Garber and Christopher Brown Jr.

12:59 p.m.: It’s a 28-point first quarter for LSU after this touchdown. Imagine the offensive output when LSU plays Alabama on Nov. 9.

12:54 p.m.: And now the Biletnikoff winner gets a score. Tagovailoa to Jerry Jeudy for a 17-yard touchdown. He has three receptions for 32 yards and a score, while Tagovailoa is 12 of 13 for 237 yards and four touchdowns. (Also, peep the lost shoe on the Southern Miss DB).

12:48 p.m.: And now Najee Harris gives Alabama another touchdown. It’s 21-0 off his 5-yard catch out of the backfield.

12:45 p.m.: Jonathan Taylor with a 72-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0 Wisconsin! He now has 12 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

12:42 p.m.: Oh, Tennessee. In all seriousness, the Vols must capitalize on these opportunities when they’re available.

12:40 p.m.: Clyde Edwards-Helaire makes it 21-7 LSU with this 9-yard touchdown. He has 62 yards and a score off four carries.

12:40 p.m.: Michigan’s Ronnie Bell is a dude.

12:37: Ole Miss ties it at 7 with No. 23 Cal on this 1-yard run by Matt Corral:

12:34 p.m.: Did we mention LSU has a pass game now? A 64-yard touchdown connection betwen Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase makes it 14-7 LSU:

12:30 p.m.: Disaster for Michigan. The Wolverines get inside the Wisconsin 10 with a 68-yard connection between Shea Patterson and Ronnie Bell, but a second-and-goal fumble by Ben Mason gives Wisconsin the ball back.

12: 27 p.m.: Tagovailoa to Ruggs again. He now has three catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Tua Tagovailoa is 4 for 4 with 128 yards and two scores.

2:21 p.m.: No. 4 LSU’s ties it 7-all with a 4-yard connection between Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson.

12:20 p.m.: Can’t forget Cal’s ranked either. The Golden Bears are up 7-0 because, well, you can’t get more open than this:

12:17 p.m.: And Wisconsin’s on the board first with a 1-yard run from Jonathan Taylor. He has eight carries for 58 yards so far, including a long of 18.

12:16 p.m.: Vanderbilt up 7-0 on LSU, just like everyone predicted. Eight plays and 75 yards for the Commodores, capped by a 5-yard run by Ke’Shawn Vaughn.

12:10 p.m.: This is a very on-brand image for both teams.

12:07 p.m.: Tua to Henry Ruggs III for a 45-yard touchdown. That’s Ruggs’ fourth of the season and Tagovailoa’s 13th passing touchdown.

12:03 p.m.: And No. 9 Florida marches right down the field for a game-opening touchdown. Kyle Trask is 2 for 2 through the air for 62 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown to Kyle Pitts.

Noon: Any surprise here?
